YOU CAN HAVE CANCER EATING THE WRONG KINDS OF FOODS…

What you put in your mouth can kill you faster even fastest than you think! Cancer is one of those terrible and killer diseases I have seen in this world. Unfortunately, I have lost two people that were dear, I mean, very dear to me to this killer disease. Both occasions gave me so bitter experiences and I would not even pray for my enemies to be infected with it.

In Nigeria, about 10,000 cancer deaths are recorded annually while 250,000 new cases are recorded yearly. Therefore, it is of high necessity to truly bear this at the back of your mind in order to avoid you, doing yourself or killing yourself. 
  
The situation becomes terribly sorrowful if the person infected is a poor fellow. Hmmm… how do I mean? The cost of taking care of a cancer patient is expensive- the therapies to be undergone, the medications, in fact, everything to be procured is expensive. The truth must be told here, the survival of a poor cancer patient is very slim.

It has to be reiterated that, there are over 100 different types of cancer, and each is classified by the type of cell that is initially affected. Cancer, a class of diseases that is characterized by out-of-control cell growth.
Enough of theories now, there are foods that help prevent cancer, foods that promote cancer and diet for preventing each type of cancer. This is because improper diet, most especially too many animal based foods is a major cause of cancer from increase in scientific evidences.

Therefore, in order to reduce cancer risk, certain kinds of foods must be avoided and these kinds are as follows:
a.      Cured Meats like sausages, cured ham, bacon; Grilled meats on a barbecue and Fried meats must be avoided seriously.
b.      Coffee, tobacco and Alcoholic beverages must also be avoided due to their carcinogenic effect. High Milk consumption especially the not nonfat is associated with the appearance of some types of cancer like the breast, the lung, the ovarian, the prostate and the urinary bladder cancers.
c.      Salted, smoked, highly spiced and Pickled foods especially the fish must be avoided.
d.      Consumption of very hot foods and beverages should also be avoided.
e.      Shellfish like the prawns and excessive consumption of eggs.
f.       A diet rich in hot spices can cause cancer of the mouth and esophagus.
g.      Excessive Sugar consumption too can cause colon cancer, stomach cancer and cervical cancer.

However, there are also some certain kinds of foods that Prevent the occurrence of Cancer. Some of them are actually the effect of Vegetables, grains, fruits, legumes and nuts. In preventing cancer, it absolutely requires an increase Vitamins C and E and Provitamin A; Some Phytochemical elements and Fiber rich foods.  These foods essentially, have some basic components that have been experimentally and epidemiologically proven to be anticarcinogens (foods that neutralizes the action of carcinogens and slows or prevents the development of cancer. Generally, all anticarcinogens are plant based) which are exclusively found in Plant-based foods.

In conclusion,
1.      fruits especially Citrus e.g Grapefruits, Oranges, lemon; Plums especially apples protect against colon cancer; Pineapples prevent stomach cancer; Grapes; Blackberries; Acerolas; Guavas and Kiwis.
2.      Olive oil when substituted with other dietary fats reduces breast cancer risk.
3.      All Vegetables generally prevent cancer but there are some classes of vegetables that are very effective like the Red beets, Carrots, Tomatoes, sweet peppers, eggplants.
4.      Yogurt protects against breast cancer.
5.      Onions and garlic
6.      Soya beans
Basically, it must be pointed out that, there is an intimate relationship between cancer and your diet. While some prevent it, some cause it and for those wishing to reduce its risks, it is very important and necessary to adopt a vegetarian diet.
