STROKE

Stroke, also otherwise known as Ictus or Cerebrovascular accident, has to do with the stoppage of blood supply to a part of the brain due to the bursting of an artery and blockage of an artery thereby resulting to complete or partial paralysis.


Causes
·        It is primarily caused by Arteriosclerosis – a process of degeneration that affects the arteries of the body. It all as begins with cholesterol deposits in their inner lining referred to as intima.
·        Diabetes
·        Tobacco and
·        Hypertension, are also some of the causes of Stroke.

Symptoms
1.      Difficulty in breathing
2.      Paralysis either complete or partial
3.      It can lead to unconsciousness
4.      Sticky and wet skin

Diets for a Stroke Patient
In a bid to prevent or treat a Stroke patient, he or she must ensure to begin to consume a lot of Fruits, Whole grains, Legumes, Vegetables, Nuts, Garlic. On the other hand, the patient must also avoid these kind of diets totally like, Meat, Eggs, Coffee, White sugar, Salt, Alcoholic Beverages, Cholesterol.
